
BIOGRAPHY
Neja Harl (b. 1984) is a contemporary Slovenian artist who lives and works in Šempeter pri Gorici, Slovenia.
She primarily creates abstract paintings in watercolor and oil, drawing inspiration from landscapes and still life. In her artistic practice, she explores the subtle balance between abstraction and everyday motifs. Through a rich and vibrant color palette and carefully considered compositions, she creates works in which space and atmosphere take center stage, while realistic details remain in the background.
After graduating from the Nova Gorica School of Arts, she continued her studies at the European Faculty of Law in Nova Gorica, where she earned a Master's degree in Law in 2010. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Painting at the School of Drawing and Painting – Arthouse, College of Visual Arts in Ljubljana.
Since her secondary school years, she has participated in numerous Ex Tempore painting events, as well as group and solo exhibitions. She has also taken part in various art competitions, receiving several awards and recognitions. She also presents her work on social media under the name Neja Harl – Artu Atelje.
